ARPA-H Dash to Accelerate Health Outcomes

After reaching its one-year anniversary, the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) wanted to expand brand and mission awareness to professionals, advocates, and academics working in health throughout the nation. To help them acheive their goal, Herzog & Schindler developed the ARPA-H Dash to Accelerate Health Outcomes (ARPA-H Dash): a nation-wide, idea-based bracket competition created to drive engagement within the health community. The ARPA-H Dash invited anyone working in the field to submit a health-transforming idea—along with a piece of credible evidence—through an easy-to-use entry form. Out of hundreds of qualified entries, ARPA-H selected 64 ideas to seed into brackets, followed by a public voting period to whittle submissions into four semifinalists and one final winner.

Over the course of 7 weeks, Herzog & Schindler developed a wordmark and brand system for the ARPA-H Dash, along with a multi-channel promotional approach, including social media assets, newsletter assets, Google Ads, podcasts, video, and motion graphics. The ARPA-H Dash recieved submissions from all 50 states and the District of Columbia, and provided funding to the top four semifinalist ideas.
