27 - 1024 is an installation project that responds to the question “what is graphic design?” Spring boarding off of two chapters from The Graphic Design Reader, 27 - 1024 challenges the viewer to question the official description of the graphic design occupation from the U.S. Bureau of Labor website. Furthermore, our installation encourages the viewer to define graphic design for themself, as one’s experiences and interactions with design informs their individualized definition of the subject.
